Cardinal - Reading Tasks

1) Read the assigned chapters and answer the questions from the planning calendar.
2) After each chapter, stop and chart a connection to share during our reading discussions.
3) When you are done with the assignment for the day, you may work on one of the following tasks...  I will collect three of these projects after we finish the entire book.  So, it is not necessary to do a project response for each chapter.  Just choose three chapters.  Two projects may be the same choice.  I am always open to other project ideas, but they will need to be approved.   Post your alternate idea on the blog and look for an approval comment?

1) Create a news story explaining the major events of the story.  Focus on the conflict, climax, and solution of the chapter.  You may use a flip camera to record your piece.

2) Write a news article about the main events of the chapter including quotes from characters, photographs, and captions.

3) Create a visual story board explaining the four main events of the chapter.

4) Write a short script for a play that reveals important events from the chapter.

5) Create a comic strip of the chapter.

6) Create a study guide with more specific questions from the chapter.
